Dave Itzkoff · Full Biography

Dave Itzkoff is a culture reporter for The New York Times. Before his transition to culture reporter in July 2006, he was a freelance editor for the Sunday Styles section from June 2007 to July 2008. Before joining The Times, Mr. Itzkoff was a senior associate editor at Spin magazine from 2002 to 2006, an associate editor at Maxim magazine from 1999 to 2002 and an editorial assistant at Details magazine in 1999. Mr. Itzkoff’s most recent book, “Cocaine’s Son: A Memoir,” was published in 2011. He is also the author of “Lads: A Memoir of Manhood,” published in 2004. Born in New York, NY, on March 2, 1976, Mr. Itzkoff received his B.A. in English Literature from Princeton University in 1998. He is married and lives in New York.
